Vases Fit For The Flower

These hand made ceramic vases are made exclusively for Honeybee Grove by local potter Bracken Feldman, of Bracken Fern Handmade Ceramics. Each vase has a unique design that flatters the type of flower it is named after. While any flower will look beautiful inside these glossy white vases, they are designed for easy “no-thinking required” floral display. The shape of the vase is designed based on how the type of flowers sits in a vase, taking into account stem length, head-shape and weight. Each vase is hand-thrown with a hefty 5lbs of clay. The weight of the vase is paramount to the project. Many of the flowers we grown on the farm have stunning large blooms (dahlias and sunflowers) or tall bloom-covered stems (snapdragons or gladiolus). When arranging with these types of flowers in a vase, it is often hard to find one that can support the top heavy flowers. These vases will be available this summer at the farm, so come on down and check them out in person.

The Zinnia Vase - $85.00

The zinnia is a classic vase silhouette. This is our most versatile vase shape, making just about any flower sit comfortably inside.

The Snapdragon Vase - $78.00

The snapdragon vase is best suited for long-stemmed spike flowers such as snapdragons, delphinium and gladiolus. With five pounds of clay, there is no need to worry whether this beauty can support a dozen stems of gladiolus without tipping over.

The Dahlia Vase - $85.00

The dahlia vase is a heavy bottomed vase to help stabilize the weight of holding 10” dinner plate dahlia heads. This vase would also be great for all of our sunflowers with their giant blooms.

The Daffodil Vase - $78.00

The daffodil vase is great for flowers with straight, hardy, leaf-less stems like daffodils, narcissus and allium. The small neck allows for the stems to stand straight, showing off the puff of bloom on top.

The Tulip Vase - $85.00

The tulip vase has a similar body shape to our dahlia vase with a change for the rim. This elongated rim takes into account the more whimsical behavior of a tulip stem, allowing the flowers to spray out and show off the every evolving pedals of the tulip.

The Wildflower Vase - $72.00

The wildflower vase has the same body shape to our zinnia vase but is a little bit smaller. This classic vase shape shows off any handful of flowers beautifully.

The Mug - $38.00

Because we just couldn’t resist a drinking vessel to enjoy for ourselves every morning. Thankfully this mug does not weigh 5lbs, but instead a still heavy 2lbs. So just in case you cut your stems short, you can stick them in this mug and not worry about it falling over either!

The Pitcher - $92.00

This elegant long-handled pitcher can hold and serve water or can complement a bouquet of flowers.
